It is very infrequent for me to say to myself that “I wish I had another couple of VPSs from said host”. I mean most of my providers aren’t bad, but they aren’t spectacular either. However, to all things there is an exception and as of recent that has been Catalysthost.com. So lets get down to some specs first:

    Use of VPS:

I am currently using this VPS as part of my Nginx Cluster, which powers the site you are on, and many other that I run. It is done with Nginx, nsd3, Unison, and some other little bits of glue.

There is a ton of great things about Catalyst, one of which being uptime. https://www.statuscake.com/public/4025/42910, but the real thing that make Catalyst stand out is the people powering it. Not only are they just simply lovely to work with, but they always seem to put you ahead of everything else. There ticket response time is FAST, yes I emphasized it and I really mean it. They are also extremely friendly to talk to when they aren’t going through making there nodes just about perfect. Not only that, but it is very rare for a provider at this price level to say “hmm 266 MB/s that seems a little low, give me a few.” Most providers tops are that, and they just wave there hand over the node and boom 466 MB/s. It simply is draw dropping. Not only that, but there network is simply Amazing. Even my top level providers who I thought were great on the network side look like mice to there honey badger of a score at 88Mb/s. I would easily compare them to linode, and at a fraction of the cost. So if you have a mission critical site, or other project I know Catalyst will host it wonderfully, and quickly.

So to recap, they have great support, great people, great disk I/O, and a great network. I would suggest Catalyst any day of the week for your mission critical app. Grab yours now @ https://catalysthost.com/

    Kudos Ryan, Jarland, and Don.
